The Leeds Luso Guineense Association has the mission to help community. Programs include language instruction, job search support, workshops, settlement support and group sessions, cultural exchange, sports activities, social entertainment events, youth and senior programming. We are always looking for new programming ideas that would be relevant and enjoyable for the community and other newcomer groups. Our goal when offering these various programs and services is to ensure that we address the common obstacles that many members of community and new arrivals when they are trying to access services in UK. Language and cultural barriers, inconvenient locations, and no childcare options are the most frequent barriers that newcomers face. We consider those obstacles to delivery our programs and services, and we hope that all newcomers will find them useful and beneficent.
